A favourite weekend getaway, the beautiful beaches may draw visitors to Byron Bay, but if you join us on our newest cycling and yoga escape, you will soon discover that the hinterland is also worth exploring. With its green rolling hills, fertile farmlands, historic towns and rainforest, it offers a scenic and cultural contrast to Byron's beach lifestyle.
Escape for a long weekend with 4 nights in a boutique luxury homestead nestled in the Byron Shire Hinterland. Removed from the tourist trap but within close reach of all the region has to offer, this is a true Byron getaway. We will cruise the maze of quite country roads and discover tiny, picturesque villages. Indulge at some of the region's best cafes and restaurants all the while surrounded by World Heritage-listed tracts of ancient, untouched rainforest.
The farm to table food philosophy of Byron Bay and surrounds is well known. A foodies delight. Nestled just down the coast is a thriving and forward-thinking dining experience not to be missed. Eat with friends by the sea and indulge in ethical seasonal and local produce. Or, head into the Hinterland to dine at one of the most renowned restaurants in the region. Seasonal food sourced from artisan producers with edible gardens and native and wild Australian ingredients, surround the modern open aired restaurant in the historic village of Newrybar. Coupled with an award-winning wine list known for its small, conscientious wine-makers and lesser-known Australian varietals.
After a day of activities, we will unwind with a truly unique rainforest and distillery experience. Stroll through the subtropical rainforest; see, smell and touch the native rainforest botanicals that are used in one of Australia’s best known Dry Gins. Enjoy a full sensory tasting experience with friends and relax as you absorb the magical views and local wildlife.
Begin or end your day, every day, with yoga in the tranquil and private gardens of the surrounding homestead. For all abilities and flexibility, you’re body will feel as actively refreshed as your brain will feel peacefully restored. Reset your body with some hands on attention, and enjoy a luxurious in-house massage to round off a wonderful cycling and yoga escape.

A minimum number of 6 are required to run the retreat and numbers are capped at a maximum of 12.
Soulfit Adventures cycling itineraries have been designed for people with a reasonable level of fitness and cycling experience, and anyone with a good base level of fitness should be able to complete all of the cycling. Our itineraries are designed to show the best that the Bryon Shire has to offer - from rolling hills in the hinterland to beach side towns with laid back surfer vibes, as well as some climbing. We grade our rides by the level of difficulty which relates mainly to the distance and terrain. However, it is also largely influenced by an individual’s cycling experience and level of fitness.
Non-cycling/yoga friends and spouses
Non-cycling/yoga participants are always welcome and all activities are voluntary. The Byron Bay region is the perfect destination for non-cycling partners to enjoy whilst you’re out on your ride. There are a plethora of cafes and restaurants, fabulous shops and art galleries all with easy reach, There is enough to do on most of our trips to keep non-riders happy, and we are only too happy help guests not participating in the organised activities with optional excursions at their own expense.
