CYCLING & YOGA RETREAT TWEED VALLEY
CYCLING & YOGA RETREAT, TWEED VALLEY
PEDAL. STRETCH. BREATHE.
A favourite weekend getaway, the beautiful beaches may draw visitors to the far north coast of New South Wales, but if you join Virginia on this cycling and yoga escape, you will soon discover that the Tweed Valley Hinterland is also worth exploring. With its green rolling hills, fertile farmlands, ancient extinct volcano, historic towns and rainforest, the Tweed Valley offers a scenic and cultural contrast to the region's more famous coastal towns.
Escape for a long weekend with 4 nights in a boutique luxury accommodation nestled in the hinterland. Removed from the tourist traps but within close reach of all the region has to offer, this is a true hinterland getaway. Spend time cycling through the hinterland and the numerous water ways that connect the region to the stunning Tweed River. We cycle the maze of quite country roads and discover tiny, picturesque villages. Indulge at some of the region's best cafes and restaurants all the while surrounded by World Heritage-listed tracts of ancient, untouched rainforest.
The Tweed's passion for artistic ventures can be felt through it's vibrant creative community in towns like Tumbulgum, Uki, Tyalgum, Crystal Creek, Chillingham and Murwillumbah to name a few. A sustainable lifestyle is fed by the rich volcanic soils, crystal clear abundant water and sub-tropical climatic conditions that provide the perfect environment for growing fresh produce and Australian native foods. The many and varied restaurants, markets and food events are brimming with local produce and flavours that reflect the abundant food production of the region.
After the days efforts on the bike we end each day with yoga in the tranquil and private gardens of our accommodation. For all abilities and flexibility, you’re body will feel as actively refreshed as your brain will feel peacefully restored. On top of yoga, reset your body with some hands on attention, and enjoy your luxurious in-house massage to round off a wonderful cycling and yoga escape.
Virginia takes a very holistic approach when designing the itineraries, creating a balance where you will encounter opportunities that will engage your body, mind, and spirit.
Wonder in the highlights of the hinterland for a truly undiscovered experience in Australian paradise.

Soulfit Adventures cycling itineraries have been designed for people with a good level of fitness and cycling experience. Our itineraries are designed to show the best that the Tweed Valley has to offer - from rolling hills in the hinterland to beach side towns with laid back surfer vibes, as well as some climbing. We grade our rides by the level of difficulty which relates mainly to the distance and terrain. However, it is also largely influenced by an individual’s cycling experience and level of fitness.
If you are newer to cycling and you would like to participate in the cycling, that's awesome! We really want you to make the most of your holiday and to do this, we would recommend that you do some structured training on a road bike, on the road at least 3 months (if possible) prior to the retreat. Road e-bikes available on request for those after a little extra assistance and to enable all fitness levels to enjoy riding together.
Non-cycling/yoga friends and spouses
Non-cycling/yoga participants are always welcome and all activities are voluntary. The Northern Rivers region is the perfect destination for non-cycling partners to enjoy whilst you’re out on your ride. There are a plethora of cafes and restaurants, fabulous shops and art galleries all with easy reach. There is enough to do on most of our trips to keep non-riders happy, and we are only too happy help guests not participating in the organised activities with optional excursions at their own expense.
"Perfectly balanced trip for all levels and interests. Loved not having to think about where we were going or doing each day. Very relaxing, yet challenging at the same time. Overall I had an amazing time. LOVED it!! and would really like to bring my Dad along one year. THANK YOU both for being great hosts, for pushing me and for making me enjoy cycling and yoga once again."
